The morning after...

Election 2004 is winding down and it looks like Kerry supporters won't have much to cheer for for the next four years. In a matter of time, Kerry will give his concession speach and all of the campaigning, commercials, and polling, will come to an end, leading into another term for the Bush Administration.

This was my first year voting. Even when I was on MTV's Choose or Lose with Al Gore, asking him about the censorship of music, I didn't vote. Yes, I was a hypocrite, a fraud, a poser. Representing my generation on national television, I didn't represent myself in the polls. I sat back and let the rest of the country decide my fate. I could not let that happen again.

I'm happy I voted. For once in my life I felt a part of the system- a small but important part. I have opinions on certain issues and I made those opinions heard with a pull of a lever. As an American, I did my job.

Can't wait 'til the next set of elections...
