I, ROBOT
I saw "I, Robot" on friday night so I thought I'd share my thoughts on it. As most of you know, this movie takes place in the future, features robots, Will Smith, and from what you can tell from the trailer, some nice action. All of this combined and you're destined to make money off of it. But aside fom that, it turned out to be a pretty good movie to boot. Who doesn't like to watch movies about the future? It's always fun to see what's in store for us as humans. And from the looks of it, what's in store for us is metal- lots and lots of metal. Metal seats, floors, walls, desks, computers, and people (robots). This seems like the general trend in our future. Everything is made out of that polished but industrial metal- cold, sleek, and smooth. Maybe it's because in the future we cut all the trees down leaving metal as our only option. Sad. Anyway, back to "I, Robot"...
Like I've told many people, this is a movie worth the $10 to see it in the theater. Lots of special effects (robots look amazing) and a good amount of action make good use of the huge screen and surround sound. The story is interesting and very believable. Will Smith brings his trademark humor and what seems like an extra 50lbs of muscle. And now that I think of it, I don't have much to say about this movie. If you've seen Spider-Man 2 already then try this one out. If not, go see Spider-Man 2.
Sleeper movie (aka an unknown classic)- "Emperor's New Groove"- Disney went the other way with this one and totally succeeded. Great movie no matter what some people that didn't give it a chance say.
Note: Two days, two entries? I'm on fire.
