Funny Story
Saturday was a big day. A lot of things were going on, BBQs everywhere, housewarmings, and a going away party for Palak later on that night. Right when I woke up there were things I had to do before I headed out to these things, and waking up at 2pm didn't help.
I woke up and immediately rushed around town looking for a good housewarming gift for my boy Sam. Of course, the video game I wanted to get him, "Fatal Frame 2", wasn't at Circuit City or Target, and the only Best Buy was 30 minutes away. Then, on my search for this annoyingly elusive video game, Amy says she has to go to Macy's with her mom. Leaving me with more time, I decided to drop by Sandy's BBQ to say HI. I drive by Sandy's house and realize that I didn't have any food/gifts for her BBQ. So I drive all around Whitestone and come up on a CVS for some chips and salsa. Gifts in hand, I dropped by the BBQ, said my Hellos to friends I haven't seen in months, and bounced, continuing my search for the housewarming gift. After giving up all hope, I finally realized that the Toys R Us by my house sells video games and got the game there. By that time Amy was back home, I picked her up, and we were off to Sam's Housewarming/Going away BBQ for Palak.
At pobably the windiest BBQ to date, we enjoyed breathtaking views and delicious burgers as we chatted away with all our friends. After the BBQ, Amy and I decided to go into the city to shop for some clothes to wear at the night's festivities. We arrived at the SOHO American Eagle looking for party tops for Amy and a pair of jeans for me. I found a nice pair and decided to try them on. Directed to the fitting rooms, I found that the they were more like dressing capsules rather than rooms. So I went into my personal capsule, ripped off my pants, put on the 32 Waist jeans and guess what...they were TIGHT! How could I have gained more weight? I used to be a 30W, reluctantly moved up to 31W, and now 32W was too big? In total disbelief, I pulled up my shirt and looked down at my waist, and found...two pairs of boxers.
I was wearing two pairs of boxers the entire day. One on top of another, Gap on top of Tommy. I changed my underwear but instead I added on more underwear. Weird, eh?
And that, my friends, is my way of incorporating a weekend update which has nothing to do with the funny story, into the funny story. =)
