TAG: You're It
That's right, "TAG: You're It" is the first short length short film created by my four friends and I this past year. I say "year" when in actuality it took a combined maybe 20 days all together, spread across a 5 month period from April to August.
This project was the brainchild of my friend Charlie, who is currently studying in China at the moment. With his idea and the help of Sam (playing the part of Sam) and Wei (the cameraman), TAG was well on it's way into production. About half of the movie was flimed and edited until Ploy, Charlie's cousin from whom we borrowed our one video camera, took a trip to Thailand. And along with her went our one and only camera. With filming postponed, school ended and Wei went back to his home in Singapore, leaving Charlie and Sam with half a movie, no camera, and no cameraman. Timing couldn't have been better. Halfway through the summer, Spring Term ended for me and i headed back to ny. When i heard there was a need for a cameraman, i jumped at the opportunity. A couple weeks later Ploy returned with her camera, and the production of TAG was on its way once again.
With a deadline of August 25th (Sam's mini HS reunion bbq and first screening of TAG), and only a week left until then, we rushed to finish the last few scenes. To get it done, we sacrificed blood, sweat, life, and limb...late night trips to Home Depot, choreography sessions at 3 or 4 in the morning, and day trips out to SUNY Stonybrook University... all for the movie.
And we got it done.
So that's what i spent part of my summer doing for those of you that didn't know. If anybody wants to watch it, just let me know =)
