Here's my take on relationships.

Here is the analogy: Single people, they're just like atoms- a bunch of single atoms floating around randomly in a large box. Let's call that box Earth. There are two types of atoms..the Blue atoms (guys) and Pink atoms (girls). In this box, all these blue and pink atoms are flying around at great speeds...curving and turning every which way. Now for a relationship to spawn between two atoms, the timing, direction, and speed at which the two atoms collide must be PERFECT, if they even collide at all. If all these variables happen to come together and two atoms collide, then bonding occurs and a relationship is born.

Of course, some atoms bond better with others, that's why some bonds last longer than others. Then there are times when all the variables are perfect except for just one. If two atoms collide with the right speed and timing, but not at the PRECISE angle, there is a ricochet effect where the atoms come together for a split second and then ricochet off each other, again going their separate ways. Close but no cigar. If only ONE variable is slightly off (most often it is Timing), then the relationship is ultimately doomed. Because of bad timing, atoms tend to fly by each other, never getting the chance to bond at all. But that does not mean that somewhere down the road the two atoms won't meet again. Then there is the classic case of a single atom colliding with another atom but unbeknownst to atom 1, atom 2 already bonded with another atom...atom 3. Because in this box called Earth, there are single atoms AND non-single (bonded) atoms floating around as well. The single atom will then continue on its way, flying around the box.

Oh but when the timing, speed, direction of two SINGLE atoms are JUST right, they come together to form a bond called a SUPER BOND that will last for a lifetime. It is truly a wonderful thing.

There are forces out there like "timing, speed, and direction" that just can't be controlled. Without these forces acting harmoniously, it doesn't matter how well two atoms bond. Only with luck can someone come across another and actually form a meaningful relationship with them. It's all randomness i tell ya...

There's my take on relationships.
