Emotional
There are a lot of things that make me happy. Some say that I'm simple-minded in that I don't look too deep into things and just accept everything as it is. But is that really being simple-minded? Or am I just understanding that life is only as bad (or good) as you make it out to be? Considering the term "simple-minded" usually, in my mind at least, evokes an image of a dog finding joy in chasing his own tale or an ogre picking his nose all day, I'd like to think that I'm the latter case.
With that being said, I think I found another thing that makes me happy...the unexpected sale. No, not Macy's one day sale or a designer's sample sale. I'm talking about when you decide to buy something, bring it to the counter, ring it up, and it's cheaper than you thought it would be. A wallet listed at $34 ringing up as $16, or the X2 dvd listed at $15 but purchased for only $10...that's what I'm talking about. And when you find out it's cheaper, it's like the weight of the world has been lifted off your shoulders. Any guilt you might've had for buying it is completely erased. What a feeling.

Extreme Makeover Home Edition makes me cry. I admit it. It's true. If you don't know what this show is about, let me enlighten you. Ty from Trading Spaces goes around, finds families that are underprivelaged or have gone through some sort of tragedy, and completely revamps their homes. They have one week to renovate, so they usually enlist family, friends, and everyone in their community to help out. I don't know if it's the tragedies these families go through, the cool power tools, or the amazing house afterwards, but this show really tugs at my heartstrings. I don't know when this show is on, but I've landed on it twice and both times I stuggle to fight back tears. Please, find out when this show is on and watch it. It really is an experience.
