It's 5 in the morning and this urge just overcame me. It is the urge to blog.
Big news in the Vatanapradit family. I, Pierre Vatanapradit, am the UNCLE of Sara Nicole Vatanapradit!!!! That's right, my brother Prom and my sister-in-law Maria had their first baby on November 4th, 2002. When I first heard the news, I was on the phone with my mom. The thing is, earlier that same day, I called my mom about writing a check for rent- but she didn't answer. So when I got her phone call, I thought it was just my mom returning my call about the check. Boy (or should i say Girl), was I wrong. A BABY GIRL!!!!!!!!! Can you believe that?!?! To those of you who have nieces of nephews, you probably understand what I went through. It's such a weird feeling to have a new member of the family. It is true that both my sister-in-laws are technically new members of my family, but there's something about a newborn member of the family that just makes it THAT much more special.
If people ask me what were the proudest moments in my life, you would think it would something like high school graduation or something similar to that type of personal, individual acheivement. But in actuality, I feel that the proudest moments in my life have been my BROTHER'S proudest moments. When Prom and Maria got married, then Sonny and Tina, I couldn't have been more proud, almost to the point of tears. And now little Sara has came into our world, giving me another reason to be proud of my big brother. So here I am as Uncle Peter (Peter is what everybody OUTside of school calls me ie. family, neighborhood friends, Thai friends, etc). I'm gonna be the coolest damn uncle in all the land. That's right, I'm gonna be COOL UNCLE Peter that takes the kids to the fair, buys them toys, and is just plain more fun than their boring parents haha. Oh boy i can't wait to see her at Thanksgiving.
Joke of the day:
A woman (let's name her Bertha) is giving birth to twins (one boy, one girl) but passes out during the delivery. When Bertha awakes, the nurse (let's call her Amy) reassures her and tells her that her twins came out fine and that they're being taken care of in the Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit for a slight fever. Then Bertha says, "OH NO! But I haven't even given them their names yet!" And then Amy replies, "Don't worry, your brother already gave them their names." Flabbergasted, Bertha says, "But he's an idiot!! He probably gave them horrible names!!" Amy calms her down and tells her that the names were pretty. Bertha then replies, "Oh ok, well what's the name of my daughter?" and Amy goes, "Her name is Denise" Slightly calmed by Amy's reponse, Bertha says, "Oh ok, Denise is a pretty name. So what's the name of my son?" and Amy says, "His name is Denephew"
HA HA HE HE HO HO HAR HAR !!!!
NOTE: I must thank my friend Soo for supplying me what that wonderfully humorous joke. Thanks.
