September 11th has come and gone, and i don't know how to feel about it. Of course initial emotions of grief and sadness were felt, but not as much as i had expected. Maybe it's because throughout the day i avoided the tv, keeping fresh images of September 11th out of my mind. It just amazed me that a year went by already. It only felt like a few weeks ago i was coming out of Angell Auditorium A and seeing 50 or so students gathered around a tv, watching the Twin Towers up in smoke. And all of a sudden it's a year later, and i'm attending the one year anniversary Candlelight Vigil of Septermber 11th on the Diag along with thousands of other students. I still can't believe it. This struck me as odd- my first class of the day this year on the 11th was coincidentally in Angell Aud. A. But walking out of class i noticed that the tv was off and nobody was watching it. Rather, they were reading the Daily or pre-reading for their next class. Life went on...

For years and years to come, September 11th will be talked about and remembered. Just like our parents and how they ask each other, "Where were you when you heard that John F. Kennedy was assasinated?" our generation will ask, "Where were you on September 11th?" Things like this aren't supposed to happen during our time. They're just things we read in our history textbooks. Unbelievable...
