I lost....
...my Tag Heuer watch that was given to me by my father TEN YEARS ago as a birthday present. I've worn that watch almost everyday these past ten years. WIthout it, i really do feel lost...
...a birthday gift from my "sister" Sandy, given to me our senior year of high school. The day after she gave it to me, i did laundry and washed the wallet by accident. Regardless, i used that wallet everyday since...until now...
...my favorite (and only) hoodie sweatshirt jacket that i bought in the homeland of my fair lady, Kristin Kreuk. My only link...my only connection that i have with my future wife has been violently ripped from my posession.
So i went to the gym to play some ball with my boy Steve last thursday. Not having a quarter at hand, we decided to leave our belongings next to the benches that line the courts. My wallet, my watch, and hoodie were in that bag. A few games later the bag was gone and along with it some of my dearest posessions. How sad is that?
Maybe someone took the wrong bag? Maybe the robber left the bag somewhere and DPS would call telling me that they found everything. Maybe the robber had a change of heart and decided that he couldn't bring himself to stealing another person's belongings. FOr these reasons i allowed for a short grace period, awaiting an email or phonecall telling me one of these three scenarios and thus reaquiring what i once thought was lost forever. But the gods did not look upon me with favor this time. Now i have to start a new life with a new wallet, a new watch, and a new hoodie sweatshirt. I don't know how i'm gonna do it, but i must.
