So I had dinner with my old Thai friends last night…..wrote a lil poem ‘bout it…like to hear it? here it go…

It's been many years since i've seen them last,
we met at Thai School, dang that was a blast.
two girls, two guys, and an expensive cafe,
didn't wanna spend money, but for this, it's ok

So i was on my way, riding the 7 train
caught without my umbrella, it started to rain.
"GOOD GRIEF" i mumbled to myself
"getting to the restaraunt is gonna be HELL!"
I got out of the station dry as a bird,
ran a couple blocks, i was wet as a turd.
taking a break under a BK awning,
there was someone next to me, standing there talking.
her face looked familiar but i wasn't quite sure,
i stepped in a bit closer, to look at her more
mustered some balls and yelled out the name, "JIBBY?"
and the next thing I know, she turned ‘n said, "TIKKY!!!"
together we walked the last block and a half,
more soaked than ever, an umbrella she didn't have.
42nd street, between 9th and 10th,
we finally arrived there, utterly drenched.

Sitting at the bar was our friend Judy,
we were always called twins, so for sure a cutie.
she has my nose, my eyes, and of course my full lips,
but longer hair she has, and a lot nicer hips.
So freaky to see how much we’re alike,
She’s the long lost sister missing in my life.
And now to make our quartet complete,
O arrived with his MPV parked across the street.
Only a few drops got him, he was all dry
When he saw us all wet, he said, “oh MY…”

Finally together we were ready to sit
We got a nice table with candles beautifully lit.
“this is a WARM corner” was what we were told,
but we were soaked, the AC made us cold.
Cold and with bad bitchy service,
I had such a great time, I didn’t even notice.
From relationships to school, we caught up on a lot,
And talked about summer school memories we almost forgot.
It’s great to seem them, a few changes here and there,
But Jibby looked the same, even her hair!

Just talking to them again was really cool,
Why did I not keep in touch, I was such a fool.
But thanks to O and that faithful email,
These long lost friendships will never again fail.

To end the night still in my wet pants,
Of course I had to show them a little NSYNC dance! (haha)
Thankfully they all loved my little show,
But this poem’s dying, so time for me to go.

PAYCE...
(with a little hair grease)
