Home is where the heart is....and is where i happen to be at the moment. Back from the Cape- it was all the fun and a little bit more than what i had experienced in years past. Did the same routine we do every year, with a couple new things. But isn't it amazing how we've stuck to the SAME routine EVERY year at the Cape?? And we never get bored....amazing.

One memory from the weekend that stuck out happened saturday night around midnight. We had just gotten back from Provincetown, bellies filled with Malasada bread, Salt water taffy, and Ben&Jerry's ice cream ,and everybody started to get ready for bed. Two bathrooms for about 20 people....and the words, "i got next" kept everybody from killing each other over who'd use the vacant bathroom. Kinda like a, "i said i got next so don't use that bathroom or i kick yo ass" type of deal. But anyways...back to the point. One thing that Cape Cod doesn't have and NYC does is street lamps. Basically in the middle of nowhere, once it gets dark, it gets DARK. I mean like, "can't see a huge ass water beetle that's flying two inches from your face" type of darkness. And when it gets that dark, the only thing you can see is the moon and the stars. HOLY COW i didn't know there were that many stars our there haha. I mean like a, "so many stars that the sky is as white as snow" kinda thing . So i went outside by myself while everybody was brushing their teeth and changing their clothes....and just looked up. I could've stared up there for hours. Kinda made me think of how insignificant the earth is compared to the larger scheme of things. An infinite universe, infinite solar systems, infinite everything. Mindblowing is what it was....and i spent a good hour trying to wrap my mind around such a "not-mine-wrappable" concept. So with that in mind, along with the laws of probability, i came to a conclusion....There HAS to be other intelligent life forms out there. Kinda freaky if you think about it.

Another thing i saw was a shooting star....and made a wish of course haha. And because "shooting star wishes" always come true...don't worry about it....i won't be forgetting the "little people" haha =) OK...i'm itchy from who knows what....kinda like a, "it's so itchy i'm rubbing my back against the back of my computer chair and looking stupid" kinda itchy.....so i'm gonna shower =)
